About the Event
Want to learn an essential skill that will equip you for your Foundation years and beyond? Ultrasound-guided techniques are becoming ubiquitous in acute healthcare settings.
We run a practical 1-hour ultrasound-guided venous access teaching session for F1 doctors. You will learn (or practice) how to gain vascular access using point-of-care ultrasound machines. We will be able to complete Horus SLEs for you which may include: cannulation / venepuncture; ultrasound-guided technique; local anaesthetic administration. We look forward to seeing you.
Taking place: Derriford Hospital, Class Room C (Next to the Sim Suite) Inside Discovery Library.
Feedback from last year’s session:
‘very good, interactive and practical session’,
‘Very useful for consolidating/adding knowledge from MAU. Very clear/well explained teaching’
